The Gutsy Frog, Mazinger Z, Babel II & Doraemon - 70s Best Anime List vol.4

I'm just here to introduce you all what i find interesting mostly because these are all but gold buried underground that ppl started digging to find some gems. yes i am talking about myself haha.

but seriously, i hope you will find it interesting and watch when you have a chance.

1. THE GUTSY FROG (Dokonjou gaeru)

Description:
Based on a downtown humanistic comedy by YASUMI YOSHIZAWA. The series is a masterpiece filled with the charm that only anime can offer, such as the wonderful dialogue between the voice actors and the dynamic drawings.

Story
One day, a frog accidentally gets under the skin of a young boy named Hiroshi, and becomes a "flat frog" that speaks human language by sticking to his shirt. The frog, who calls himself "Pyonkichi," is at the center of a noisy daily life that is accelerated by the likes of Hiroshi's girlfriend Kyoko, the kid general Gorilla Imo, and the sushi chef Ume-san.

2. Mazinger Z

Description:
A giant robot animation masterpiece based on an original story by Go Nagai. It can be said to be the real progenitor of the genre that has continued to the present day.

Story:
Dr. Helu, a mad scientist, has unearthed countless giant robots from the ancient ruins of Birdos Island in the Mediterranean Sea. Using them as a basis, he organizes an army of mechanical beasts and sets out to conquer the world. Juzo Kabuto, a Japanese scientist who knows of Hell's ambitions, builds the mighty battle robot Mazinger Z to crush his evil ambitions. He entrusts it to his grandsons Kouji and Shirou, and dies. Mazinger Z's battle begins to protect world peace!

3. Babel II (Babiru Nisei)

Description:
The first anime adaptation of Mitsuteru Yokoyama's popular espionage manga.

Story:
Guided by the image of a dream he sees every night, a young boy, Koichi Furumi, heads for a tower in the desert, riding a giant monstrous bird, Lopros, which suddenly flies into the sky. It was the Tower of Babil, a scientific system bequeathed by the alien Babil I, his distant ancestor. Koichi becomes the psychic Babil II with three servants, Lopros, Rodem, and Poseidon, but another descendant of Babil I, a man named Yomi, appears before him, burning with ambition for world domination.

4. Doraemon

Description:
The first animated TV adaptation of Fujiko Fujio F's (Fujiko-Fujio at the time) masterpiece and national science fiction adventure manga. It was produced by Nippon Television Animation, which also produced "The Road to Munich" and other works.

Story:
Doraemon, a cat-shaped robot, comes to the present day from the 23rd century future in a time machine. His mission is to change the past of Nobita Nobi, a man who will have a hard time in the future because of a failed business venture. Today, Doraemon lends Nobita, a simple-minded but kind-hearted elementary school student, mysterious tools and hopes to solve various difficult problems... This work was short-lived, ending after only about six months, and fans are famous for its miraculous nature, as there were no opportunities to rerun the series. The film also features some original elements unique to the series, such as the appearance of Gachako, a duck-shaped robot that lives in the house of Nobita's girlfriend, Shizuka Minamoto.

But to me, they are absolutely gorgeous why? because most of them are still popular today in 2023!! can you believe it?

Like Doraemon is absolutely still going on, Mazinger Z is definitely hot for those who collect merch and there are all kinds of it!
(I remember playing games which Mazinger Z appear 🤖)

Alright, if you have not watch any of these series, i would suggest you to go watch it so you find more old school but golden pieces of anime made of love.
